Zea Mays Printmaking/Drypoint Monotype Variations - Remastered

Drypoint Monotype Variations - Remastered

This tutorial is like a yoga class for mark making. Play and improvise in a variety of monotype techniques with the addition of repeatable images on incised PETG drypoint plates. Beginning with timed warm-up prompts, Joyce Silverstone will guide you through a process of improvisational drawing and then help you translate these drawings into drypoint plates and monoprints. She will help you explore a variety of mark making possibilities with both conventional and non-conventional drypoint tools and monotype additions including stencils, transfer drawing, viscosity printing, and more. You’ll get both practical advice for setting up a registration system, printing by hand and on an etching press, as well as inspiration for image making.
