The prospect of making photo etchings without the need for UV light exposure is intriguing. This research explored the use of Press-n-Peel PCB Blue, an iron-on transfer film patented by Techniks Inc., to make photo etchings without the need for a darkroom.  All you need is a copier.

Press-n-Peel PCB Blue is used by hobbyists for etching circuit board patterns into copper.  We saw the potential for an artistic use of this technology and were attracted to it as an alternative to standard photo-etching techniques without the use of UV exposure units and emulsions.
